On today’s episode, Know Your Role(s) welcomes dancer, choreographer, and restaurant manager Carlos Cruz Velázquez to the pod! On tap in this week’s Bar Talk are Friday’s “Master of None” season three premiere and the merits of accountability and grace versus cancel culture, Sabrina Ionescu’s rising star on the NY Liberty WNBA team, and ordering chorizo and eggs with Charles Grodin while applauding Paul Mooney. Carlos weighs on the struggles of New York restaurants over the past year and the joys and pitfalls of re-opening. The first male dancer to receive a Fulbright Scholarship for dance, Carlos discusses his love for emotional improv, celebration of the human form, and his desire to make dance accessible to everyone.
