On today’s episode, Know Your Role(s) welcomes writer, editor, and author of the bestselling book “What the Fact?! 365 Strange Days in History” and one of Vulture’s Best Comedy Books of 2022 “Eating Salad Drunk: Haikus for the Burnout Age by Comedy Greats” Gabe Henry to the pod! Topics on tap in today’s Bar Talk include the “Obi-Wan Kenobi” trailer, the final season of “Atlanta,” and this week’s Bartender's Choice courtesy of George, Wrestlemania! Gabe shares some of the most interesting historical facts he’s unearthed, including Mozart’s pension for peculiar penmanship, gives insights into why haikus make great comedy, and travels back in time to play baseball. This week’s game takes big swings as the gang compares historical figures to baseball positions, from Winston Churchill’s center fielder, to Marie Curie’s broadcaster, to Julius Caesar’s closer. In today’s Last Call, George looks forward to the Masters Tournament while Dave gets excited for the sixth and final season of “Better Call Saul.” Producer Mary Bess closes her tab this week, as she exits her trusty booth to join The Jed Foundation, a national organization promoting and protecting mental health and wellness for teens and young adults.
